Advanced Mazatec Immersion: A Deeper Return to the Lineage

México, 5th to 13th February 2027 · 8 days · For those who have already sat with the family

An advanced 8-day Mazatec mushroom retreat in Huautla de Jiménez, Oaxaca, held with Mazatec healer Doña Magdalena Casimiro. This deeper immersion is offered only to those who have already retreated and sat in ceremony with us.

You have sat with us in Huautla. You know the walk up into those mountains, the thinning of the air, the way the whole town seems to hold its breath in the hours before ceremony, the prayers in a language older than the church on the square, the silence that is not empty but full, the feeling of being held by that land and by the family whose lineage runs through it. You know what it asked of you. You know what it gave back.

Doña Magdalena has opened the doors for us to return.

And this time she invites us further in. Not the meeting, but the dedication. A deeper week, more of her time, more of her devotion, more ceremony, a stricter dieta, the kind of work that asks more of you because you have already shown you can be asked. When we sat with her and asked what this gathering would hold, she said we would go deeper with the medicine through working with the Heart and the Mind.

This is for you.

The standard retreat is a meeting. This is a dedication.

Where the first week opens a door, this one walks you further through it — eight days instead of seven, more of Magdalena's time and devotion, more ceremony, a stricter traditional dieta and fasting, a container that closes in tighter around the work so that the work can go deeper. It asks more of you. That is the whole point of it. And what asks more of you is also what gives more back.

This is for those ready to move from experience into study. To sit closer to the source. To let what you found in ceremony begin to reshape how you live, how you breathe, how you remember.

What your participation makes possible

A portion of every Advanced immersion booking goes directly to supporting cultural preservation, the protection of traditional healing systems, and land rights in the communities whose lineage we carry.

This is not a gesture. It is the structure of the work. When you walk this path with us, you walk it with them.

Before you decide

You know this feeling already. The pull, and the pause before it. The part of you that is ready, and the part that wants to be sure before it says yes again.

You do not need us to convince you, you have been with the Mazatec women before. You have been fully committed. You know what the medicine is, what this family carries, what it costs to go deeper and what it returns. If you feel the call to study, to sit closer, to let this become not a thing you did once but a path you are walking, then you already know whether this is yours.

We would be honoured to walk this journey with you.

With love,
Ahau & Robyn
