About the event

🔥Welcome to this amazing, one of a kind wxmen's day retreat - blending the ancient medicine of a sweat lodge with a wild wxmen ceremony in an outdoor majestical wild space.

This day has been specially curated together with 3 female run businesses:

  • The wisdom of Robyn from Root Of the Gods (earth wisdom, sweat lodges)
  • The magic of Michelle from The Re-Wilding (the land & event space)
  • The essence of Lisa & Joanna from The Wild Women (female space holders)

We feel so blessed to bring to you this special day retreat for WxMEN only - of all ages & life-stages of womanhood. Inviting in a small group of 30 wxmen only to keep the day private, connected and grounded.

Our mission is to create a day of ‘initiation’ through the elements of earth, fire, water and air - where we will receive a rites of passage and remembrance of our feminine spirit.

🌏 Earth = we gather to strip away all our worries, concerns and ground in with the ancient medicine of the sweat lodge - also known as the “womb of earth” - the energy will be shared, spoken and sang in that space.

💧 Water = we will cleanse, soothe and receive the blessing of the water by holding each other in a water baptism - you will feel held, supported and able to release into the flow of water

🔥 Fire = we will burn away and allow the rise of the Shakti power working with kundalini movement and breath. Allowing the essence of our wild woman to rise up and spread throughout our whole body

🌬 Air = we will connect to air and all the elements through dance - being transported into other worlds and feeling a full embodiment of the practices of the day where we are all one, through the musical journey of a live ecstatic dance.

🛖What is a SWEAT lodge?

A type of Sweatlodge, a Temazcal is a purification ceremony; for relieving stress, cleansing toxins from the body, releasing negativity and revitalising life force. Especially beneficial for your immune system & balancing mind, body & spirit. Essentially, it is a steam bath in a natural dome. Large rocks are heated on a fire outside, then placed inside a natural bowl in the center of the dome & doused with water and herbs. The medicinal steam & the power of the natural elements help us to open and cleanse. As a key part of indigenous medicine, it has been used widely for thousands of years for the treatment & prevention of disease, stress, weight loss, depression, skin conditions, fibromyalgia & much more.. The Sweatlodge dome itself represents the ‘Womb of the Earth’ as its energy is distinctly nurturing, bringing us closer to our Panchamama.

They creatively offer a unique blend of their own life experiences; from travelling the world, to the 90's dance-floor, to working in strip clubs, to motherhood, interwoven with many years of trainings and a deepening wisdom in tantric teachings, ancient womb practices, yoga, shamanism, kundalini, breathwork and DJing. Joanna & Lisa are led by a love of movement, music, laughter & a craving to discover how to be a woman in this world in expansion. They blend a sense of realness, rawness & softness. They do not preach, but guide women to understand their own true self, creating space for a remembering and a re-surfacing of the magic of life. There is no mystery to being a wild woman, only a remembering.

As part of the McKenna Academy team, trained in Psychedelic Integration by ICEERS & Marc Aixala and student of Mazatec Elder Doña Eugenia Casimiro - Robyn embodies a bridge between the ancient and modern cultures. Working alongside indigenous wisdom keepers, creating programmes and experiences wherein cultural teachings can be honoured, shared and guided in their growth and integration.
  • Michelle Rewilding

Michelle owns the The Rewilding land and event space in Lancaster
The Rewilding's is on a mission to undo the domestication of human beings. To encourage folk to get out into nature and remind themselves of what they already have. To not underestimate the power of nature and where to find it. Human rewilding is about learning and relearning our connection with the natural world and ourselves, consciously restoring the balance and going back to older methods and philosophies. Many of us find ourselves on a continuous journey in search of healing, recovering from ‘too much’ from the abundance we find ourselves presented with, but why? Is it because we don’t reciprocate this abundance, is it because we don’t give gratitude for it? Did we take too much?
Let’s get back on the right journey, to remembering our origin, our evolution, our ancestors and reconnect with ourselves and the natural world.
